OUR STORY
YUZU started in 2016 in a home kitchen in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our founder, Lauren, has always had a history of sensitive skin and eczema. After learning about the harsh chemicals and synthetic detergents commonly found in mass produced products, she spent months experimenting with various recipes to create her own homemade products.
Many of the ingredients she used were common items found in the kitchen, such as olive oil and coconut oil. She found that her plant-based, handcrafted products were much more gentle and nourishing for her skin.
Today we still make everything in small batches with plant-based, premium ingredients. Every product is filled, labeled and hand-packaged by our small team in Fremont, CA.
Our products are 95–100% natural and free of parabens, sulfates and phthalates. We test on willing friends and family, never animals.
